Journey to the Best Fishing Spots
Depending on the season, weather, and your fishing goals, the boat ride to the top fishing spots typically takes 10 to 20 minutes. During the ride, you can enjoy panoramic Arctic views and maybe even catch a glimpse of local wildlife. In many cases, guests spot seabirds, seals, or even dolphins along the way.
Open Boat — Fishing Experience
Once we reach the fishing grounds, your Arctic fishing experience begins. Our Kværnø 575 open boat brings you closer to the surrounding nature and offers a more open connection with Arctic waters. The waters near Tromsø are rich with fish, and our guide is there to assist throughout the experience. Whether you are trying fishing for the first time or already have experience, we adapt the tour to your level and help you make the most of your time on the water.
Refreshments and Memories
Throughout your Arctic fishing adventure, we offer complimentary hot drinks and snacks to keep you warm and energized. Meanwhile, your guide captures photos of the experience, so you leave with lasting memories from your private fishing tour in Tromsø. Along the way, we also share local knowledge about Arctic waters, marine life, and the surrounding environment.

Would you like more time on the water? You can add an extra hour to your private fishing tour for 1,500 NOK. You can decide during the tour and pay by card — just let your guide know.
Return to Tromsø
After time on the water, we head back to Skattøra Marina harbor in Tromsø. Along the return journey, you can enjoy the surrounding fjords, reflect on the day, and perhaps share stories about your best catch. Whether you are leaving with photos, new fishing skills, or fish for dinner, we ensure a safe and comfortable return to shore.

Fish Export
Tromsø Explorer is also officially registered as a fishing camp in Norway. This means we meet national safety standards, operate responsibly at sea, and follow sustainable fishing practices. And if you’d like to take your catch home, we provide the official export documentation required to legally bring fish out of Norway.
